The business Ben runs today is Davison Publishing Co., a niche B2B directory publisher.
A 160-year-old trade directory business, operating five directories serving specialized B2B industries. Davison has spent over a century as the record of who's who and what's what across the industries it serves.
Under Ben's leadership, Davison is being modernized for a digital, data-driven era, while keeping the trust and depth that made it an industry fixture for generations.
Background
Ben has wanted to run his own business since he was a kid.
Watching his father manage his own operation, he decided early on that he didn't just want a career; he wanted to build and run something of his own. Along the way, he worked hard across a handful of very different industries, taking on all kinds of jobs that paid and taught him something about how work actually gets done.
The moment he arrived at college, he started building his own ventures out of his dorm room, long before anyone had handed him a title or a business to run. That instinct got him picked up by an early-stage consumer products startup, and later by a team acquiring small software companies, where he learned, firsthand, what it actually takes to run and fix a business.
Today, Ben runs Davison Publishing Co. as President, and founded Posner Group LLC to do the same for more businesses like it.
